Talyn began working in the industry over twenty years ago, while attending the University of Arkansas and receiving a Finance degree with a Minor in Insurance and Risk Management. She began her insurance career with one of the top 10 publicly traded insurance brokers, working in management, sales and service.  Talyn assisted in the integration of three successful acquisitions while with the firm. Upon moving to Tampa in 2008, she soon joined what is now SGP Advisors.  Under a management buy-out in 2012, Talyn is now one of four owners in the firm.  She currently oversees and facilitates all financial and operational functions of our SGP Advisors offices.  Talyn works closely with the President, to set and ensure a continued bar of customer service and overall operating excellence, as well as future growth for the firm and the continued expansion of our corporate footprint.

Talyn had the honor of winning Tampa Bay Business Journals CFO of the Year Award in 2013, she has served on the Applied ASCNet Board of Directors and currently holds a position on the Special Olympics of Florida’s Executive Committee.
